Below ----- is real life.

November 30

I work until seven.

November 29

My groupies. A reporter covers the church service. "All You Can Eat" is a monster drawn in exaggerated perspective among the flowers on her stationery.

November 28

------

I level Quandara--level 26. The store is very busy now, and with Lisa out, I have a lot of stuff home to paint. Finish Chapter Fourteen.

Very rainy morning. Nice afternoon.

November 27

We going to go back in time when the little boy wanders off. I grab him so he won't be separated from the rest of us.

The lights are out because of someone's paranoia, and the ferry bumps into the piers and goes down. I should have run down at once to help the passengers, but I dawdle. Finally getting there, I find the ferry half-submerged. When I open the hatch, I find a huge, evil face looking out at me. Unafraid, I drop the food from my mouth onto it.

---

I work.

November 26

I bake a pumpkin pie and put up the Christmas lights.

November 25

----

Deb got us a huge turkey (23 lbs.). I stuff it and bake it from 9 to 5. We have Thanksgiving.

Our Thanksgiving

November 24

In the Infernal Museum, a man offers me a hundred plastic animals to change his baby girl's diaper, but his wife gives my mother the job.

Louise goes to the Museum's library to swim.

All the fur falls off my coat, leaving blue plaid.

I look for Louise and see girls in long silk dresses swimming in a pool with a hump-nosed whale. It's a special graduation party.

November 23

----

Get headlight replaced.

Finish Chapter Thirteen.

Run to zoo.

Found the missing family history of Quokisa.

November 22

Place where water, ice, and land meet.

Desolate because the man she loves is untrue, she jumps from the cruise ship to drown herself, but ends up swimming to shore. When he sees her, he pounds across the restaurant to her. He loves her, but not enough, She should have ignored him.

November 21

Louise and I DDR. I run around the field with Ben, then take him back to campus. Thought of new title for Quokisa: "Storm in the Sun's Eye."

November 20

Going to lunch with the kids at their work place. Carl, riding a huge screwdriver, maoves so slowly he confuses the life.

----

Louise brings Ben home. She and I DDR. I start Chapter Thirteen.

November 19

I hit the FYI switch beside the light switch and flick off the power.

November 18

I'm staying by the racetrack. A pair of racetrack people jump their horses down the steep hill above the concession stand. A monkey clown rides a calf.

The company will be in Copenhagen next.

The race starts with the field leaping from the high balcony and trying to take the first hurdle as they land. One horse falls with twisted legs, but the rider makes it go on. Sometimes these crippled horses still win, the announcer says.

November 17

Packing for the apocalypse. At first I'm choosing chairs, but later just filling a small box.

Exploring a big, beautiful house with a theme in mosaics for each floor. There's a camping spot at one end of each barbell-shaped floor, with beds in rows in the narrow spot, and a window at the other rounded end of the barbell.

----

Lovely weather.

November 16

-----

I run to zoo.

Work on Bonniebug Brag Book.

November 15

-----

Nice weather.

Louise beats Majora's Mask.

November 14

We have twenty people over for three days. I take a bunch sliding around and around the place. All the old plastic animals are being put to good use for games.

November 13

Celebrated Louise's birthday by watching "High Noon," "Shanghai Noon," and "Kill Bill."

Louise and birthday cake

November 12

I drive Louise and her styracosaur skeleton exhibit to the Infernal Museum, then wander about in my socks, shoeless. The escalators aren't running. I see decor exhibits, one on the museum's founder, but I remember the skeletons. There was a hominid skull that reminded me of Salamano. The only animals I see are hippos and peccaries in their narrow runs, and some zebra.

Bear and others are giving out popcorn for a taste test.

On the top floor, at Herlihei, there's a matrtial arts class.

----

Caught a mouse by sitting on the couch near the mouse cube until I hear rattling. Hope it's the "smart" mouse. It's quite fat.

November 11

A Scottish activist destroys all things tropical. He destroys a van with six bottles and many mice. He makes a rainstorm for further destruction. I tell him that dreams are for flying, power, and joy, not destruction.

-----

Bait stolen again. Indications that the "smart" mouse has pried up the door of the mouse cube.

November 10

A wheelchair boy in contest with great scientific minds whines about his condition and plans to get sympathy and others in trouble by going through a "window" with a red coardboard frame.

November 9

-----

I run to bridge.

Start Chapter Eleven.

November 8

A human-bird team. The human loves the sky and swings through the blue on her harness, but the bird fears it.

----

In the evening when I go out to bring in the solar fountain for the season, a buck comes trotting toward me in the gloom. He doesn't shy away even when I walk toward him. His smell is rank. He passes me to cross Vlad's yard.

November 7

----

Louise and I go on big Walmart shopping spree, getting new TV among other stuff.

I run to zoo.

November 6

Eugenie, daughter of Indian poet, knocks chandelier down onto her back while practicing her golf swing indoors.

----

I work. Louise plays Majora's Mask.

November 5

----

Windy. I'm off work. Write Chapter Nine of Empress.

Jingles brings second mouse for habitat.

November 2

A small bird is sliced in half, but the head and body continue to fly about separately. I'm worried about how the body will find nourishment, as only the head can eat or drink, but after it plunges into a watering trough, I figure it will be all right.

I have to get the evil sealed into containers for the bike race.

As the race begins, Charlie harrasses me, trying to upset my containers. Finally I confront him, saying, "You're going down."

I knock him off his bike and continue with the race.

-----

Ben and I walked down to vote early in the morning. When we returned, we saw a buck with one straight antler and one twisted antler in the back yard.

We watched the Dr. Who DVD I got from the con.

I put a new mouse in the habitat. It learned to use the mouse wheel almost at once.

After Dr. Who, Louise drove Ben to Stevens so he could attend classes and she could vote.
